Information for solo runners
- We will announce racepack pickup info prior the race
- Solo runners will find their number bib, t-shirt, gift, blue finish line drop bag tag & green Tai O drop bag tag in their race pack
- Solo runners may drop their finishing bag which will be stored at the finish area in Mui Wo until they cross the finish line, as well as 1 drop bag for Tai O (CP2).
Information for relay runners
- Only 1 team member pays the entry fee and supplies the name and email address of teammate(s).
- We will announce racepack pickup info prior the race
- All relay runners can drop a bag in Mui Wo at the finish area for safe keeping, during the duration of the event, to be picked up after their run leg. Alternatively, runners can give a finish bag to their teammates running the next section to retrieve at the finish of their own relay leg. We highly recommend relay teams coordinate drop bags within the team. Only Solo Race runners are allowed to send a drop bag to Tai O.
- Team order is up to the team. You can decide on race day. Each relay runner will have their own bib and bracelet.
- Relay format
- The first runner will race Leg 1 (section 1 to 3 - Mui Wo to Ngong Ping – 13km - 5 Hour Cut-off)
- The second runner will race Leg 2 (section 4 to 6 - Ngong Ping to Tai O – 14km - Cumulative 9hr Cut-off).
- The third runner will race Leg 3 (section 7 to 9 - Tai O to Shui Hau – 23km - Cumulative 11.5hr Cut-off)
- The fourth runner will race Leg 4 (section 10 to 12 - Shui Hau to Mui Wo – 20km - Must finish before the 17.5hr Cut-off)
- Relay Runners only get scanned when they finish their section. Do not scan before the start of your section
- Note: For relay races, runners will have to wait for their fellow teammates to finish their sections before starting their own race! Don't be late for your leg - this can cause serious tension & ruined friendships!
- Each Relay Runner will have their own bracelet. You are timed only when you finish your section. Do not get scanned at the start of your section.
- For relay teams, please write the emails of all teammates in the registration form.

Check points / Aid stations
- There will be a check point at the end of every leg, with water and food available for runners of that leg only. Runners are allowed support crew in the aid station area only, and can only relay in this area too
- We will also have a first aid team set up at the aid stations and the finish line. Although there are aid and water stations on course, racers should make every attempt to carry their own aid / fluid replacement systems while on course. No plastic bottles will be allowed to be taken away from aid stations. Please refer to update Course Map posted
- Runners need to carry enough water to complete the long sections. Aid by teammates or other people outside the checkpoints is strictly forbidden. Runners or teams violating this rule will be disqualified from the race. Suggested amounts for all runners. More if you drink a lot. Suggest water amount at each leg:
- Section 1 - carry 1.5 - 2.5 litres of water
- Section 2 - Carry 1.5-2.5 litres of water
- Section 3 - carry 1.5-3.0 litres of water
- Section 4 - carry 1.5-2.5 litres of water

Important note on Relay Team support at Check Points:
- Food and water at aid stations is for the solo runners and relay runners coming in. Relay runners starting a leg must provide their own food and water. We will not supply water for you at the race start or start of your relay leg. All runners at the race starting line will need to provide their own food and water.
- Example: Tai O the 4 person relay team members were gathered waiting for runner #2 to arrive. Meanwhile they ate food and drank water meant for the solo runners and arriving relay runners. This is totally unacceptable. Any team found abusing the water and food supplied will be automatically disqualified. No exceptions.
- Teammates and Support Crew will be held to a designated area outside of the relay exchange area. We need to allow the relay runners a clean exchange and space to do so. Solo runners need space to make a stop. Any teams or support crew who come into the exchange area will be disqualified automatically. There is limited space and we need to focus on the runners and allow them the room they need for the event.
Littering
- We stress the importance of keeping our country parks and trails free of rubbish. Runners must carry their own rubbish until they find a rubbish bin along the route or at check points
- Any runner found littering will be automatically disqualified and banned from future LBC events. Please help maintain our beautiful country parks and trails in Hong Kong
